Dewitt Veterinary Hospital
Open for business February 3, 2020.
DVH is pleased to announce the opening of their new, state-of-the-art animal hospital. The old building will be razed in the spring.
The new 4,838 square foot hospital features a large waiting room with separate areas for cats and dogs, a heated floor and a large vaulted ceiling with gables that let lots of natural light into the waiting area.
Pets are served in 4 exam rooms which each have a back door to the clinic area. There is also a "comfort room" for end of life issues. Clients can lounge on a couch and have precious last minutes and quietly slip out the back door.
While paid boarding is not allowed by the Township, the building has around 30 kennels in their own quiet area, cages for cats and rabbits and outdoor runs for recuperating animals. The kennel area has a special area for preparing food as well as a grooming area.
The clinic has a large pharmacy area and lab, conveniently located next to the x-ray and surgery rooms. Dental services are also available.
On the second floor, interns can be housed for after hours monitoring.
The new building uses the latest building and insulation technology including in-floor heating for animal's comfort, heat recovery system, SIP Panels and all new xray, lab and surgery equipment. Parts of the sidewalk are also heated so animals do not have to walk in the snow melt and will not drag that into the building.
I am proud to add this project to my portfolio. The client was very good to work with and I have heard nothing but great things about their veterinary expertise.
